Congratulation by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman on the Independence Day of Ukraine!
Fellow compatriots!
On behalf of the Government and me personally, I congratulate you on the Independence Day of Ukraine!
Our country is undergoing sweeping transformations which became possible, first of all, due to the fact that the Ukrainians have an opportunity to become the master of their own destiny and to be the master on their land. The state independence of Ukraine is the foundation of our development, the key to structural reforms in almost all social sectors and the prerequisite for our achievements.
No one can doubt that independent Ukraine for the purpose of further successful developments should take its place among the European nations. We are fully convinced that NATO membership is a guarantee of our security and a compelling argument for the aggressor. We have no right to be satisfied with what has already been achieved and we are committed to continue reforming our social sphere. I am assured that independent Ukraine is a decentralized, open, transparent society with a high standard of living, high-quality medicine and education, clear and simple conditions for entrepreneurship and full respect for human rights.
Ukrainians have on numerous occasions proven to the whole world that our country a sovereign and self-sufficient nation, which finally says farewell to post-Soviet past and authoritarian political policy and choses the European path of development. Compatriots, who are fighting in the east every day, at the cost of their own lives, protect our independence from the aggressor and demonstrate to the whole world a model of military valor and civil heroism. Our strong civil position facilitates the formation of a European democratic community in our country, who shares not only European values, but also gives impetus to new cultural and political meanings.
I am assured that together we will continue to change our country and achieve the set targets as we have wonderful people, enormous natural resources and fantastic economic prospects. I believe that independent Ukraine is a country of opportunity and success!
