  • Update on the spread and prevention of COVID-19 coronavirus infection

    According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of October 27, in Ukraine there have been officially confirmed 26,071 (1,830 children out of this number, 477 healthcare workers) new cases of COVID-19 infection.

    The COVID-19 vaccination campaign started on February 24, 2021. Since the beginning of the immunization campaign, 16,793, 558 vaccines have been made.

    The number of vaccinated persons from COVID-19 from the beginning of the campaign makes up 9,576,177. On October 27, 2021, 291,985 people were vaccinated against COVID-19. Of this number 0 people got CoviShield vaccine, 100,979 - CoronaVac vaccine, 134,762 – Comirnaty vaccine, 56,244 – AstraZeneka, Janssen – 0, Moderna – 0.

    Vaccination was carrie out by 1,128 mobile immunization teams, 3,232 vaccination points and 409 vaccination centers.

    During the last 24 hours, there have been hospitalized 5,366 persons, 576 patients died, 10,006 persons recovered. There have been conducted 151,504 testings (77,573 using the PCR method,
    21,960 using the ELISA method and research by rapid tests for antigen to SARS-CoV-2 – 51,971).

    During the entire pandemic in Ukraine:

    • 2,851,804 persons contracted COVID-19 infection;
    • 2,241,711 people recovered;
    • 66,206 people died;
    • 14,232,081 testings have been conducted.
