  • Oleksii Chernyshov: Working groups for preparation of regional infrastructure for vaccination operate in all regions of Ukraine

    During the discussion "Regions against the virus", which took place during the second day of the Forum "Ukraine 30. Coronavirus: Challenges and Responses", Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksii Chernyshov stressed the importance of clear coordinated cooperation and informed about effective solutions that are already yielding result.

    "In the coming months, we will continue to live in a pandemic, but compared to last year, the state is ready for further challenges. We have achieved this through coordinated action at all levels of government. The next important step in this multi-level cooperation is vaccination and the creation of appropriate conditions. Currently, working groups are operating in all regions of Ukraine to prepare the regional infrastructure for vaccination," the Minister said.

    The Forum’s participants discussed the results achieved in 2020 in overcoming the coronavirus crisis, as well as the continuation of this process in the future. According to Oleksii Chernyshov, the main guarantee of a successful fight against the COVID-19 pandemic last year was timely solutions, not always popular, but efficient.

    "As a result, the epidemic within Ukraine has entered a controlled phase, and the infrastructure is fully prepared for further response to the disease, both at the national and regional levels," said the Minister for Communities and Regions Development.

    The discussion was also attended by Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kyrylo Tymoshenko, Deputy Minister of Health Viktor Liashko, Head of Chernivtsi Regional State Administration Serhii Osachuk and other representatives of the regional and professional community.

    Ukraine 30. Coronavirus: Challenges and Responses Forum is taking place in Kyiv from February 8 to 10 and aims to establish an effective and inclusive dialogue between the authorities and society on the fight against the pandemic.
