Under the chairmanship of Deputy Minister of Energy Yulia Pidkomorna, a meeting took place to discuss steps and determine indicators and trends that should be the basis for the formation of goals and objectives of the National Renewable Energy Development Action Plan until 2030.
The event was held with the participation of representatives of the State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving, the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development, the Ministry of Infrastructure, NPC Ukrenergo, the Secretariat of the German-Ukrainian Energy Partnership.
The national indicative target for the development of RES in the final consumption volume is determined by the areas: electricity, heating and transport, as well as by modeling the development of the energy sector and, in particular, green energy.
Deputy Minister Yulia Pidkomorna supported the proposal to establish a working group on the site of the State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving, the task of which will be to determine the relevant indicators and ways to achieve them.
In addition, within the framework of the German-Ukrainian Energy Partnership program, German experts will be involved in the development of this National Action Plan. There is also an agreement with Austrian partners to provide consulting support.
The dynamics of RES development testifies to the rapid development of RES, in particular, on the outcomes of 2020, green energy is more than 11%, which indicates the overfulfillment of the current Energy Strategy in terms of electricity production.
