All Ministries in its work are guided by the key idea: a person is the top priority of our Government. At the beginning of the week, the Cabinet of Ministers submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a report on the progress and implementation of the Government Action Program in 2019. This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Oleksiy Honcharuk.

"The Government has a strategy and a team to accomplish all the tasks set by the President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. From the very beginning, we have been working hard to achieve macroeconomic stability, increase investment attractiveness and improve business conditions in Ukraine," the Head of Government said.

According to the PM, as a result, we can see hryvnia's stable exchange rate, a record low inflation rate, a reduction of the National Bank of Ukraine’s discount rate to 11%, as well as the promotion of Ukraine in international rankings.

"We have curtailed top-level corruption in the Government. Our country receives a message of credibility. The support of our international partners has become a proof of such trust, in particular, the program of cooperation with the International Monetary Fund was agreed," Oleksiy Honcharuk stressed.

The Prime Minister noted that the Government had managed to establish a mechanism that allowed local authorities to recalculate utility bills for heating. The cost of heating payments has dropped to 30% depending on the city.

"Moreover, Ukrainians received a total of UAH 27.1 million in 2 weeks under the state program "Affordable Loans at 5-7-9%", which was triggered on February 1. Another 2,500 applications are being processed. In 2020 alone, we are committed to grant more than 50,000 affordable credits, create up to 90,000 new jobs and attract about UAH 2 billion of foreign investments in small business," the Head of Government emphasized.

Apart from that, the Government is vigorously combatting the shadow markets. "We closed all the gambling halls in one day and removed them from the Ukrainian streets. And in January, law enforcement agencies and inspecting authorities dismantled nearly 4,000 illegal petrol filling stations across the country. The price of fuel lowered by an average of 2 hryvnia, and official sales of fuel increased by 6%, which means that the amount of taxes paid to the budget was also increased, " Oleksiy Honcharuk said.

The PM added that all 7 scanners, which were purchased a long time ago, finally began to function at the customs. Now the time for cargo checking will be reduced to 10 minutes.

In addition, the Government launches centralized registry of permits for wood production: "From now on, there won’t be "black lumberjacks" under the guise of the territorial departments of the State Forest Resources Agency. Our forest is protected by the state. The most odious heads of forest resources agencies in Zakarpattya and Kharkiv regions were dismissed".

Oleksiy Honcharuk underlined that from early February the sale of unprocessed wood is being conducted through the system of electronic auctions: "And this means transparent pricing and eradication of the shadow timber market. By the way, in autumn we launched an online register of logging and online timber-cutting permits map".

The Prime Minister placed a special emphasis on the Anti-Raiding Office, which has successfully defended people's property rights: "Anyone whose property rights have been violated can apply here. The Government will respond immediately. "

“We are also renewing the infrastructure. Winners for the concession tenders in  Olvia and Kherson seaports were announced. These are new jobs, big investments in the development of ports and cities. At the same time, the ports remain the state property. A sum worth UAH 3.4 billion will be invested in Olvia seaport in five years, and  in Kherson seaport – UAH 300 million in four years," the Prime Minister said.
