The Government has decided to transform the state-owned Energoatom into a joint-stock company with 100% of its shares owned by the state. The Cabinet of Ministers also approved the company's charter, regulations on the Supervisory Board and principles of its formation.
"The corporatization of the strategic national enterprise has been completed. Energoatom has been transformed into a joint-stock company. This means the introduction of international standards of company management, opens up additional opportunities for attracting significant investments in the industry and development of domestic nuclear energy, which is the key generation in the country," said Minister of Energy of Ukraine German Galushchenko.
The Government's decision was made in pursuance of the Law "On the Joint Stock Company "National Nuclear Energy Generating Company "Energoatom". It is established that the company is the legal successor of all property and non-property rights and obligations of the state enterprise National Nuclear Energy Generating Company Energoatom.
