Deputy Prime Minister – Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk said during a national news telethon that 4,390 Ukrainian children with special status were remaining in the temporarily occupied territories and in russia. She clarified that these were children from special children’s institutions – orphans and children deprived of parental care.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, because russia is concealing any information about them, all possible agencies are involved in the search – the Office of the President of Ukraine, the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Security Service of Ukraine, the Foreign Intelligence Service, the National Police, the Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories, and others.

“We pass all the materials we receive to the International Criminal Court, which is also investigating these crimes. Sufficient evidence has already been collected. We hope that our efforts and the pressure of the international community will speed up the process of returning our children,” said Iryna Vereshchuk.
