Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman urges entrepreneurs to remedy all violations of the safety standards in public places - from schools and kindergartens to large shopping malls. The Head of Government announced during the Government sitting.
"It is crucial to address violations. People have to feel completely safe, it applies to schools, kindergartens and other institutions", the Head of Government stated.
In the course of the Government session, officials heard a report by the Head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine Mykola Chechotkin on conducting inspections of public places. According to him, 41% of the objects from the general list of those subject to inspections have been checked. More than 12 thousand administrative fines were imposed, and lawsuits regarding closure due to neglect of security standards were filed against 400 objects. The worst situation is observed in Chernivtsi, Volyn, Dnipropetrovsk and Odesa regions. The Head of SESU added that inspections are continued, and almost 30% of defects and problematic issues are resolved during inspections.
The Prime Minister instructed to continue monitoring the situation. " If something will happen in places where violations of safety standards exist, those who are guilty will be brought to justice. Information about the danger areas will be provided to the heads of the Regional State Administrations and they will be obliged to carry out additional inspections. And then we will unveil the names of those who endanger public safety", the Prime Minister underscored.
He placed a special emphasis on the preparation of summer camps for children. "It is important to ensure verification commissions be uncompromising. There can be no compromise on security issues", the Head of Government stressed.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman commissioned the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, Ministry of Regional Development, Building, Housing and Utilities of Ukraine and other state authorities to carry out a thorough inspection of public places, schools, and shopping centers in order to verify compliance with fire safety norms. The Prime Minister stressed that owners of such places, who in pursuit of enrichment, are using every inch of the square to earn extra hryvnia or a dollar by neglecting the safety standards. The Head of Government proposed to draw up a list of objects for checking, and then to report on the work done.
