Hennadii Zubko: 67% of social facilities and district heating enterprises have already been prepared for the heating season

Preparations for the upcoming heating season 2018-2019 are underway. Hence, it is of paramount importance to ensure proper technical state of communal heat power plants, objects of social infrastructure (kindergartens, schools, hospitals) and residential buildings. This was stated by Vice Prime Minister/Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities of Ukraine Hennadii Zubko  on air of the TV channel “Ukraine”.

"We stick to the blueprint for the heating season. Almost two-thirds of the objects of the social sector and heat supply enterprises - 67% - have been already prepared for the winter.We monitor the situation every month. The striking issues for us are,first of all, the status of preparations in the regions and the amount of funding being allocated by local governments for these needs. Last year, local budgets for development amounted to 192 billion hryvnias , in 2018 we expect - 220 billion hryvnias. However, today the expenditures for regular work on preparation for the heating season make up no more than 3 ", Hennadii Zubko stressed.

Apart from that, the Vice Prime Minister placed a special emphasis on the fact that a substantial sum from the development budgets allocates to road infrastructure, renovation, capital repairs of the social sector, etc and he added that it is important to ensure an amount of money allocated for the preparting for the heating season by  local authorities makes up not less than 20% .
