Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal held a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov, Minister of Education and Science Oksen Lisovyi and other stakeholders on the new quality of education in Ukraine.
"The State for the People. This is a value that we embed in all state policies. That is why human capital development is one of the Government's ten priorities for this year. The main areas are modern and safe education, as well as affordable and quality healthcare. Both vectors in the new realities require modern approaches and transformation," emphasized Denys Shmyhal.
As the Prime Minister stressed, the Government continues the reform of the New Ukrainian School, which is now being introduced for grades 5-9. Special attention is paid to the accessibility of preschool education.
"We are radically transforming vocational education. We are facing a long-term recovery of Ukraine, so it is crucial to have high-quality specialists in various fields," the Prime Minister said.
The participants of the meeting also raised the issue of security of the educational space. The Government has allocated UAH 1.5 billion for the construction of shelters in schools.
According to the Prime Minister, Ukrainian education, as well as the Ukrainian State, is facing a major transformation: "We will not just restore what was destroyed by russian terrorists. We will build a new quality of education for a European Ukraine. We are already developing new pilot projects, unique solutions and preparing a plan of changes for all educational levels."
