    Situation in the power system as of 24 December: no electricity shortages recorded, operation of a TPP unit in Donetsk region suspended due to shelling 

    GENERATION AND CONSUMPTION

    No electricity shortages are currently observed and are not expected for the current day.

    The electricity demand of consumers will be met by domestic generation and commercial imports.

    No blackout schedules are applied in any of the regions. The situation is under control. The power system is balanced.

    NETWORK STATUS

    Ukrenergo's 330 kV overhead line in Dnipropetrovsk region was disconnected due to significant power line damage.

    Military operations are ongoing in the area.

    A 330kV overhead line was also disconnected near a thermal power plant in Donetsk region due to damage to a power line.

    CONSEQUENCES OF THE SHELLING

    A massive shelling of a thermal power plant in Donetsk region injured 5 employees of the plant. All of them were taken to hospitals. The shelling also damaged the equipment of the power grid and the plant itself. One of the TPP's units was shut down by the staff. Household consumers were cut off from electricity.

    IMPORT/EXPORT

    Electricity imports for the current day amount to 18,800 MWh. No exports are planned.
