A second round of interviews with potential European partners - representatives of the German and Belgian operators of the gas transmission system, those being interested to participate in the management of the gas transmission system of Ukraine, was held. This was announced by Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Kistion.
According to the Vice Prime Minister, the Working Group, which the Government of Ukraine empowered to conduct preliminary consultations with international operators of main gas transmission systems, set the task before the Secretariat to formulate proposals to the terms of the competition by the end of March. Then proposals will be submitted the Government for consideration, approval and further transparent search of a reliable international partner for PJSC Mahistralni Hazoprovody Ukrainy, which will guarantee maximum loading of the gas pipe.
Volodymyr Kistion recalled 10 international companies such as Eustream and Snam, the Gazunie and GRTgaz, GAZsystem, Desfa, Reganosa, Verbunddelz Gaz AG, Fluxys, Transgaz have sent their proposals regarding cooperation with PJSC MHU.
"Preliminary consultations with international companies allowed to draw clear lines and to form proposals to the terms of the competition by taking into account the real needs of the market. I am grateful to all the companies that sent their proposals and visited Ukraine for prior negotiations. The Government of Ukraine guarantees the transparency of the competition aimed to find a reliable partner for PJSC MHU and to ensure the transit future of our country", summed up Volodymyr Kistion.
