Industrial production is growing, key sector is processing and production of durable goods - State Statistics Service

Industrial production in Ukraine in January 2018 compared with the same period in 2017 grew by 2.9%. According to the data released by the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, there had been considerable increase in the processing industry – almost 9.7% and in the production of durable goods – 17.7%. Growth in the mining industry made up 6.3%. The highest growth was demonstrated by Lviv region (18%), Mykolaiv region (16.5%) and Chernivtsi region (16.1).

The growth rate in construction sector in January decreased by 0.2%, due to the decline in the construction of residential buildings. Instead, construction of non-residential buildings increased by 19.3% compared with the same period in 2017.
