The cargo turnover of carrier operators of Ukraine - the product of a certain quantity of cargo and the distance of the transport - has increased on all types of cargo transportation, indicating the revival of the economy and the active use of logistical capabilities of the state. According to the data of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, in 2017, freight turnover increased by 5.8% up to 343057.1 ton-km.

In absolute terms, the total volume of freight carried in 2017 amounted to 635.9 million tons, which is by 1.8% more than in 2016. The largest growth was recorded in the segment of pipeline and aviation transportation.
