Prime Minister during inspection of road facilities in Kherson region: It is of critical importance to combine resources of all budgets for investment in quality roads

The funding of road works in Ukraine, which is determined as one of the priorities for the Government, should be provided from different sources, thereby it is reasonable to combine the resources of both budgets state and local in this process. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during the inspection of the state of repair activities on the public road P-57 Tsyurupinsk - Hola Prystan – Skadovsk. The Head of Government examined the said road section in the framework of a working visit to the Kherson region.

He emphasized that road works in the Kherson region have not been carried out for a long time, however this year over 27 km of the road pavement have been already repaired and this figure will continue to increase.

«The major overhaul of the country as well as reconstruction of roads in the country are underway. (This year), we have tripled the volume of work, although we understand there is still much work to do. It is essential to combine efforts and resources of local budgets that due to the decentralization possess sufficient assets for building quality roads. I emphasize that Ukrainians have the full right to travel and drive along normal roads with a high level of safety. All these things are time-consuming, but we are on the right path, hence roads in Ukraine will be restored every year», underscored the Prime Minister.
