Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman initiates an audit of the State Property Fund of Ukraine with the assistance of an international audit company. A relevant proposal was put forward by him on Wednesday during the consideration by the Government of an issue of the transfer of the integrated property complex of SE UkrEcoResursy to the management of the State Property Fund.

“I think we should create a serious group that will check on how, what property and how efficiently the State Property Fund of Ukraine manages”, explained Volodymyr Groysman.

“I want to understand how the property is administered, whether we get money into the state budget and how efficient is this process, what has been done by the Fund to prepare effective privatization of the objects belonging to the state”, he noted.

To hold an audit of the company the Prime Minister offered to attract an international audit firm.”Let's find a reputable auditing company and will order it to carry out an audit of the State Property Fund”, said Volodymyr Groysman, adding he would find the resource for this purpose.

The Prime Minister commissioned First Vice Prime Minister/ Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Stepan Kubiv by late December to submit proposals to the Government regarding a mechanism for attraction of the auditing company, the selection process and funding.

At that, he suggested to terminate the transfer of property complexes to the State Property Fund, in particular until there is announced a public report on its activities.
