It is possible to regain confidence of Ukrainian citizens in the authorities through transparency of activities and positive results. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman in the statement at the 13th annual meeting of Yalta European Strategy on Saturday.
"We may restore confidence in Government through transparency and efficiency of activities. This is the only thing that can persuade Ukrainian society and our international partners that we can be trusted", said Volodymyr Groysman.
In this context he noted that policies and decisions being taken by the Government are completely open. Government’s activities are also focused on certain ‘hometasks’ Ukraine must do.
So, during 4 months the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has done its utmost to ensure further cooperation with the International Monetary Fund.
The Prime Minister noted that he stands for de-oligarchization of the country, creating open conditions in various areas, carrying out public privatization, introducing changes in the judicial system of the country. "Those are important things that will affect the quality of life," he said.
However, the Prime Minister noted that once the Government undertakes a reform of any sphere it should confront artificially created obstacles. At the same time, according to him, ambitious goals and aspirations to transform the country help to overcome any obstacle.
According to him, it is necessary to put an end to unfairness Ukrainians have been affected over 25 years of independence. The Prime Minister considers that through several years it is possible to achieve success in the country.
"We only need to ensure that those who influence decision-making believe in Ukraine, that we do not interfere with making changes, that we begin to condemn the populism destroying our country from within. But it is a challenge for our entire Ukrainian society," he said.
"I came to serve Ukraine. I came here to serve my state and my people. I want to do everything with maximum openness and efficiency. This is my ambition”, stressed the Head of Government. “I am eager, in synergy with the President, Parliament, Government, our international partners, to carry out the changes which will transform Ukraine".
"I believe in one principle: if you do not solve the problem, you become the problem yourself. And I will do my utmost to never be a problem for Ukraine and the Ukrainian people", said the Prime Minister.
