The European Union has launched
implementation of the project of technical assistance TRACECA II, for funding
which is scheduled to allocate almost ˆ 5 million.
The BASIC II by name "Project
to enhance the flight safety, aviation safety and environment" – the
Regional Interstate project funded by the EU for the development of transport
corridor from Europe via the Black Sea, Caucasus, Caspian Sea with access to
the countries of Central Asia.
This project was launched
immediately after the previous - the TRACECA II, efficiency of which is
ascertained by experts. Conducted by project TRACECA II, the numerical target
technical and language courses will allow 97 Ukrainian specialists in the field
of civil aviation to improve their skills and knowledge of the requirements of
EU legislation in the areas of airworthiness and safe operation of aircraft,
issuance of certificates of pilots, aviation safety and environmental
protection.
According to experts of the
Ministry, the project TRACECA II will have a positive impact on further
improving the system of supervision and monitoring of the safety of aviation.
Also within the project it will be paid appropriate attention to issues of air
traffic management, economic regulation, access to the market for air transport
and the rights of passengers of air transport.
The project is intended for three
years.
Except Ukraine, the assistance from
the EU is received by Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Moldova,
Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
