On February 13, 2012 at 12.00 at Kyiv time from the CSG Space Center in Kourou, located in French Guiana, there has been the first European launch of carrier rocket of a light class "Vega".

It is set the flight engine on the fourth stage of the rocket, developed by the State Enterprise Yuzhnoye Design Bureau named after M.K. Yangel and made by the State Enterprise A.M. Makarov Yuzhny Machine-Building Plant (Dnipropetrovsk).

The engine has worked off successfully under a given cycle-program, the launch vehicle has fully fulfilled flight program: nine satellites has put into the calculated orbit - two Italian LARES and ALMASat-1 and seven microsatellites CubeSat (USA).
