Today, at the NSC “Olimpiysky” Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Rybak chaired a meeting on ensuring complex solving of issues concerning preparation for hosting the final tournament of the 2012 European Football Championship in Kyiv.

Minister for Family, Youth and Sport Viktor Korzh, National Olympic Committee President Serhiy Bubka, deputy heads of the Ministry of Family, Youth and Sport, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Emergencies, Ministry of Regional Building, Kyiv City State Administration, Football Federation of Ukraine, management representatives of the NSC “Olimpiysky”, Yugin company, project organizations and institutions, responsible officials of the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine participated in the meeting.

The meeting concerned solving an issue of problem building of the trade-business complex in Troyitsky square in font of the Olympic stadium and building of additional special-purpose football stadium meeting FIFA and UEFA requirements as soon as possible.

Having listened to the opinions of interested sides Vice Prime Minister Volodymyr Rybak summed up: “One decision is taken as a ground: final tournament of the 2012 European Football Championship will be hosted at the NSC “Olimpiysky”. We can’t cast doubt on our ability to host the final tournament of the championship. This is an image of Ukraine”. That’s why, according to Volodymyr Rybak, except undelayable beginning of project works the main task is to find a civilized way of solving problem issues taking into consideration interests of the builder and ways of compensation for his building spending and urged the interested sides to start negotiations as soon as possible.

“On this I will report to the Prime Minister and President,” the Vice Prime Minister said in the end.
