On April 18, 2012 at a session of the Cabinet of Ministers was adopted a decree "On Amendments to the Regulation of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated June 29, 2011 № 685" On approval of Procedure for the procedure using the funds of the State budget for measures to implement the European Charter for Regional or Minority Languages".

The draft resolution developed by the Ministry of Culture in order to clarify the rules of the mentioned act and ensure the efficient and targeted use of budgetary funds for measures to implement the European Charter for Regional or Minority Languages and the measures to re create the culture of national minorities. In the state budget for 2012 it is provided the financial assistance for activities to implement the European Charter for Regional or Minority Languages in the amount of 1 million 7 thousand UAH, and 963.9 thousand UAH - on measures to re create the culture of national minorities.
