Speaking at a Saturday press conference in Kyiv, Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko said the Cabinet's session earlier in the had virtually launched the process of returning the KryvorizhStal works to the State.

As Mrs Tymoshenko disclosed, the Government has suspended all operations, which involve property of central authority bodies.

According to the Prime Minister, public collegia will be formed under every Ministry.

Mrs Tymoshenko unveiled the Government's plan to curb contraband, particularly with regard to articles of mass consumption.

In Mrs Tymoshenko's opinion, the former Cabinet's management of state monopolies was inefficient, which was detrimental to budgetary revenues.
