Over 400 rehab centers for mentally disabled children will be created in Ukraine, Labor and Social Protection Minister Mykhaylo Papiyev told while kicking off inauguration of the rehab center for mentally and physically disabled children in Kharkiv.

According to Mykhaylo Papiyev, the polite project resembles a clear example of partnership among physicians, parents of disabled children and donators. Construction of the center was evaluated at 700,000 UAH.

The Kharkiv Rehab Center for Disabled Children was created in 1999. According to Director of the Center Anna Kukurudza, the center is equipped with modern facilities. As many as five new centers are supposed to be created by the 2007's close in Kharkiv.

As many as 150,000 disabled children, are, presently, registered in Ukraine.
