The Government has endorsed a plan of measures to boost the Ukrainian fuel-energy sector's export capability.

To this end in 2006 - 2007 about 600 M. USD will be invested in implementing the Bohorodchany - Uzhhorod gas pipeline construction project.

The pipeline's first branch will carry about 5 bn. cu. m. of gas.

Commissioning and second branch will boost the pipeline's carrying capacity to 16.3 bn. cu. m. When fully commissioned, the Bohorodchany - Uzhhorod pipeline will transport 19 bn. cu. m. of natural gas a year.
