After the official visit of the Prime Minister Yulia
Tymoshenko to the Republic of Korea in the Ukrainian Government a special group
will be set up to facilitate Korean investors with Vice Prime Minister Hryhoriy
Nemyria as a chairman. Yulia Tymoshenko announced opening a working lunch with
representatives of leading circles of Korea. “We will create special mechanisms
of cooperation. Within Ukrainian Government a special group will act with an
aim to draw your investments into areas in which you would like to cooperate
with Ukraine,” she explained.
The Premier informed the Gov’t relies on cooperation in
energy domain, in particular production and transportation of energy,
introduction of energy saving technologies, applying renewable energy sources,
extraction of oil and gas and also development of infrastructure and logistics
in agrarian sector.
Yulia Tymoshenko considers her visit to the Republic of
Korea will start a large-scale process of flowing Korean investments into
Ukraine’s economics. She announced that on opening a meeting with leaders of
industrial groups of Korea.
“The Government will assist the companies of South Korea so
that they could feel comfortably, had an opportunity to implement investment
programs and all the green ways to conduct business would be open,” the Prime
Minister emphasized.
In their turn, heads of Korean corporations expressed
interest in realization of infrastructure projects in Ukraine – building of
ports, railways; in development of Ukrainian uranium deposits; obtaining of
Ukrainian steel. Vice president of Huindai-KIA Motors thanked to Prime Minister
Yulia Tymoshenko for keeping the promise to render overall support to Korean
investors.
