Representatives
of Enerhoatom company and Mitsubishi corporation have considered in Kyiv
prospects of cooperation in the area of nuclear energy development.
Director
General of Atomproektengineering Volodymyr Bronnikov informed the Japan delegation on the role of nuclear
energy in ensuring energy independence of Ukraine and on the plans of development of
the branch up to 2030.
In his turn
the head of Mitsubishi delegation, deputy director general for Nuclear Energy
Systems department Satoshi
Utsumi briefed
Ukrainian party on the plans of development of the corporation, including
construction of a nuclear fuel plant, elaboration of advanced nuclear
technologies etc.
The head of
the project of Nuclear Engineering Systems department of Mitsubishi Heavy
Industries Kazumasa Tanaka told in details about new
technologies for NPP elaborated on the basis of ABRW-1700 MWt reactor facility.
Volodymyr
Bronnikov emphasized Ukraine is keen on maintaining a system
cooperation with Mitsubishi. He assured the Japanese delegation that within
nearest time Enerhoatom would propose their vision on future cooperation.
