Olexandr Turchynov meets with Head and President of European Technology and Investment Research Centre Roland Pieper and Daniel Bolotin

The First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Olexandr Turchynov held a meeting with Head and President of the European Technology and Investment Research Centre (ETIRC) Roland Pieper and Daniel Bolotin.

During the event the parties have considered issues of investment cooperation. Creating of favourable business environment in Ukraine is one of topmost priorities of Ukraine, Olexandr Turchynov admitted.

The interlocutors discussed a possibility to introduce by ETIRC a project in creating a Ukrainian air-taxi operator with the use of Eclipse 500 jets. The project envisages creating a network of service Eclipse 500 centres and a broad system of air-taxis. Also the parties considered an opportunity to manufacture the aircrafts on the territory of Ukraine in the future. On the first stage of realization of the project the expected amount of investments equals around 50 million dollars. According to the First Vice Premier, the main peculiarity of this project is its productivity. Under crisis conditions it can be of top significance, Olexandr Turchynov stressed.

Reference. The First Vice Prime Minister Olexandr Turchynov is staying on a three-day working visit to the Kingdom of the Netherlands. In the course of his visit he is to meet with Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Finance, Minister of Foreign Trade, Minister of Economics, Minister of Energy and representatives of business circles of the Netherlands.

On the amount of direct investments into Ukraines economics in 2008 the Netherlands rank third. The trade turnover between Ukraine and the Netherlands in 2008 has totaled USD 2 bn 402 mn which is by 45.8% more from 2007.
